At least allow changing of the editor windows background color? (pure white bothers my eyes)
While I don't expect to allow changing of all of the code coloring elements, at least just allowing the change of the background color of the editor window would be nice (I prefer a slightly off-tan color for example)
You can set the editor background color from v2.22.1 in Edit | Preferences. I’ve also tweaked the text color set for dark backgrounds – let me know your thoughts.

BRILLIANT! I always change it to black cause I tend to have multiple windows (VS, LINQPad, SQL Manager) open at the same time and I always feel like white is a bit much. SO it's nice to have that option. You rock.

Seems like it would be nice if the backgrounds of the connections, Samples, and My Queries windows matched.

Hi,
Further to my previous comment, I've uploaded a screen grab illustrating a couple of minor issues with colourisation:
http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/5727/linqpadcolourscheme2.png
I have my Active Window background colour set to a slightly off-white colour (Red: 236, Green 233, Blue 216).
In the screen grab you can see that the results pane is showing the SQL code output; several operators and keywords are just visible as white (255,255,255) text/symbols against the background (highlighted with red ovals for clarity)Secondly, in the Query window pane, at the bottom of the pane, as I'm entering a lambda expression LINQPad is providing a code stub; the expression's input parameter is displayed as white text on a lime green background, which I personally find virtually unreadable (again, highlighted with a red oval for clarity).
My off-white Active Window setting in Windows is the only custom OS colour I'm using. I don't think the dark background I've selected in LINQPad preferences is affecting the rendering of the output in either pane, but may well be wrong.
Thanks

Many many thanks Joe, this helps a lot.
Being greedy I'd like full control over the text, operator, keyword etc colours, but this is a great help.
Great software, great support! -

As with the original commentor, this is a feature I'd love to see, and which would massively increase the usabilty of LinqPad for me and many others-
I run most of my tools with inverted colour schemes (however I have no desire to alter the entire Windows setup) - so many tools allow this now that I've come to rely on it - Visual Studio, RegexBuddy, PowerGrep (even Visual FoxPro 9!!!)
- This feature is so important to me that it is stalling my decision to purchase the autocompletion feature. -
Bear in mind that LINQPad's editor honors Windows colors, so if you change the 'Window' color from white to tan, this will recolor LINQPad's editor window. This is easy in XP - in Vista/Win7, right-click desktop and choose 'Personalize'. Then click the 'Window Color' button at the bottom and then 'Advanced appearance settings'.
